STI Server Software

STI Server Software works with Client Server versions of Tabs3 and PracticeMaster products to improve performance in firms where many people use the software at the same time.

STI Server Software, which is licensed FairComĀ® server software, is required to run Client Server Versions of Tabs3 and PracticeMaster software. STI Server Software is sold and supported by Software Technology, Inc.

System Requirements for STI Server Software

  • STI Server software must be installed on one networked computer in order to use client server versions of any Tabs3 or PracticeMaster product.
  • A multi-core processor is recommended.
  • The network must have the TCP/IP protocol.
  • 2 GB RAM is the minimum memory requirements of the STI Server.
  • Ensure that plenty of free disk space is available. Temporary files created on the server can be quite large. Minimum free space of four (4) times the data set size is recommended. Each HotBackup requires enough disk space for the entire data set.
  • Windows Server: Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2003/2000 (either 32-bit or 64-bit version), Windows 7, or Windows XP Professional. Recommended that all current Service Packs be installed.
    Note:
    Running STI Server under Windows Vista is not recommended.
    Note: When running Windows 7 or Windows XP, you are limited to the number of concurrent connections
    and may exceed the connection limit.
  • Workstation: Windows 7/Vista/XP. Recommended that all current Service Packs be installed.

Any other Tabs3 or PracticeMaster software you use must be upgraded to a client server version on all other networked computers.
